CAN ANY OF THE CANDIDATES FILL THAT POSITION
I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat. I am an American. I vote and act as I feel the plans of those running for the office meet my approval. I have never been more disenchanted with what is happening in our country than I am today. I am surprised and baffled by the behavior of many of my fellow Americans, and what they are committing vis-à-vis the welfare of the nation. As an immigrant, I am disillusioned with the meaning of patriotism in our society. In the name of PATRIOTISM, many Americans commit the most heinous crimes against the welfare of the nation and the country. For most of them, devotion and loyalty to the country mean “how much they can benefit from the concerned subject and how long it will keep them in their desired position.”
I am mad, I am Mad…. I AM MAD, I am mad as Hell
The man behind these powerful words was the American playwright, screenwriter, and novelist Sidney Aaron “Paddy” Chayefsky, (January 29, 1923-August 1, 1981).
I am mad about what I see in my country during this election year. I am mad that so many of my fellow citizens cannot understand the real handicaps of the candidates. I am mad about the partisanship of our Supreme Court, clearing a convicted criminal for the highest position in the land. I am mad that any medical student can diagnose one of the candidates as having a severe mental problem, and he is promoted for the post that he is by no means qualified! He is medically a sick man and needs to be institutionalized for treatment.
I am mad about the foreign agents interfering with our election. I am disgraced by our administration’s action and the action of our Congress, Senate, and the House, taking sides with a foreign government against the welfare of their own country.
I AM DISGRACED BY MEMBERS OF OUR CONGRESS TO INVITE A FOREIGN LEADER TO ADDRESS THEM AND PLAY HIS GAME AGAINST OUR COUNTRY’S WELFARE.
To our head of the State: Mr. President, you must understand that you cannot play both sides, good and evil. You pay the aggressor billions of dollars and give him a carte blanche to kill innocent people with the armaments supplying him and come out saying that the perpetrator does not listen to you. You turn around and help the victims, but your aggressor blocks the delivery of the good that you have sent to help the needy! THE WORLD’S PEOPLE ARE NOT STUPID; THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING. WHY DON’T YOU STOP HELPING THE INTERNATIONALLY INDICTED CRIMINAL?
Netanyahu is a criminal; what he is doing to the Middle Easterners now is what Hitler did to the Jewish people during the 1930s and 1940s. However, it should be emphasized that disagreeing with the Israel P.M.’s criminal action is not a seal of approval for the heinous crime committed by Hamas. The German foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, in addressing the Parliament, stated that killing civilians in Gaza by Israel is justified in achieving the goal of fighting terrorism. She should know that the world is aware of her thoughts and that she cannot wash the disgrace that her nation brought on itself for what they had done to Jews and others by supporting another criminal, called “THE FUHRER, Herr Hitler.“
Mr. Netanyahu is by no means worried about the welfare of Israeli hostages; his main concern is grabbing as much of Gaza as he can. I never believed and never could accept that Israel’s secret service, possibly the best in the world, was unaware of the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Many reputable news agencies reported at the time that Israeli foot soldiers had noted unusual scenes of commotion in the areas of question and had reported their concerns to higher Israeli military authorities, but they were ignored. This concern was brought up by an MP candidate of the Labor Party in England, and that individual was dismissed from the Party!
I will be eternally grateful if someone could intelligently explain and educate me on “what hold the Israelis have on our country’s administration, Congress, and policies and why our Government is bending over to help Israel hardliner’s interests against the welfare of their own country. “
Unfortunately, amid today’s problems, I must deal with a more challenging one: the behavior of some of my Iranian American compatriots, and their reaction to today’s problems in our country. Many of them fall in the group that is classified in Persian literature as ” the Bowls hotter than the Aash (soup)[1]. They are more Americans than all Americans put together. Unfortunately, they form the opinion and act upon without evaluation the situation properly.
Most these people are impulsive and sentimental individuals. They don’t place any values on studying and evaluating the problems in hand and therefore unable to foresee the pros and cons of their thoughts or actions. As an example, an Iranian American physician wrote to the President of the United States, suggesting that he should use NATO in bombarding Iran to get rid of Mullah’s regime! They decide on erroneous idea, such as “If Trump gets the presidency, he will remove the Clergy from Iran.” However, Trump is on record saying on several occasions that he was not in favor of Regime Changes in Iran. These compatriots, sadly, are unaware that no foreign governments care for their country of birth. It does not require Einstein’s intelligence to know that those foreigners were and always are the creators of the disastrous situation all over the world.
There is no way that one can reason with most of my Iranian American compatriots. They are on the opinion that they are masters in all fields and experts on every subject. In the political science they act as the living souls of Benjamin Disraeli, project that they were thought by Winston Churchill, and paraphrasing French writer and philosopher La Bruyère, “They had seen all, had read all, and in a word, they are men of the Universe.”[2] Unfortunately, I should add that most of them belong to the Republican Party and are followers of Trump and admirers of Richard Nixon, which the country despised, and they consider Netanyahu a gift to Humanity, and trying to make him a king maker in Iran! I shall admit that Iranians are very smart, and individually they are great achievers, however, collectively they are not worth a penny. I tried hard to make a dent in this behavior, however, I was totally unsuccessful.[3]
We should never forget that our most precious privilege as an American is that we are empowered to elect the person to govern our nation and our country. Please let us all try not to give this right away. Study what Putin has done in Russia. Russians, after the fall of Communism, started a democratic, federative state based on a republican government. Putin, Trump’s idle, has changed it back to a complete dictatorship. It is very easy for despots to find servants who will serve their needs for a miniscule reward, just take notice of what Trump has done to our Supreme Court, the Judges became “Political Appointees”, is it what you want from a court of justice? Two of the country’s major news outlets, Washington Post[4] and Los Angeles Times,[5] have accepted Trump’s servitude in the possibility of his succeeding in the election and did not support their board desired candidate. This has happened weeks before the election, do they know something that we don’t. Did they commit such action as a preventive measure and in case Trump wins. These are the manifestations of lack of professional integrity and self-preservation minus the element of patriotism, and integrity.
