U.S.A: Colony of its Own Creation

Israel’s Fifth Column in U.S. /Colonialism and Today’s Problems

What does Colonialism mean?

The dictionary defines it as: “The policy or practice of acquiring full or partial political control of another country and exploiting it economically.”

Colonialism can present itself in different forms: Settler colonialism and exploitation colonialism. Settlers may invade an area with a group of immigrants through a physical force, an economic means, or a combination of both. These groups may contain subdivisions like internal Colonialism and national Colonialism. At times, it may incorporate multiple components of the different groups.

Colonialism has been with us for as long as history exists. An individual or a government can carry it out to another person, a society, a country, or a nation. The only purpose for such a plan is always the use and or the abuse of the resources of the victims.

Enslavers, slave traders, members of the so-called nobility, and tyrants may fall into different categories of colonialists. Countries with greater military power can make hostage the weaker. Unethical and immoral as these actions are, they will not deter the perpetrators.

In this writing, I will only discuss the problems encountered by the weaker nations in the hands of the stronger. A cursory look over the pages of history will give us an abundance of such occurrences. The British, French, Russians, and Americans have been the front runners for centuries. They disregarded every element of decency and morality in committing all sorts of crimes. They lied, killed, and stole from their prey whatever they could. For the moment, I will leave Russia’s Colonialism aside. It needs a special session to discuss the atrocities they are engaged in.

In India, the British robbed the nation of all they could. Like a leech, they sucked people’s blood. They treated the nationals less than animals, demanding to be addressed as “Saheb,” meaning owner. They encouraged and supported the divisive action of the Muslim separatists and created Pakistan.

In Iran, the English used a different technique, following Curzon’s Doctrine[1]. Curzon, during his tenure as the British Foreign Secretary, responded to those inquiring about his reaction to the Iranians opposing his tactic by stating:[2] “we settle the case with cash….This policy would help in two ways: buying allies for England and, with their help, making the country into an informal part of the British Empire.[3]” Keep these words in mind. They might come in handy when we are evaluating our current situation.

The British controlled “Iranian Oil,” the nation’s most significant wealth. They took billions in profit while leaving natives in poverty.

The world should never forget the crimes committed by the big powers in Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Syria, not to mention the South American nations. What the French did in the Middle East and North Africa is a vivid example of savagery.

The atrocities committed toward the less fortunate nations in the latter part of the twentieth century are a phenomenon that is a clear example of Colonialism in its ugliest form. The U.S. government lied to our Congress and deceived us as a nation in making war with another nation (Attack on Iraq). In Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S. committed what are considered crimes against humanity. Our action in those countries easily fits the definition of war crime, yet we try to show ourselves as the guardian of freedom and the protector of the weak! Only an idiot can believe that the world is blind and can’t see our true nature.

In the past 60-70 years, I witnessed the disintegration of the foundation of my adopted country. Corruption became a norm. And it is rampant among most elected officials, who stop at nothing to remain in power. An attitude that makes them an easy target in accepting servitude of those who need them to protect their interests. It makes no difference whether the helping powers are domestic or foreign. The multitudes of these characters create an exceptional environment that changes our national stands from “HUNTER TO HUNTED.” What we were pursuing in a weak country is now replaced by those who control our destiny by manipulating our elected officials. How did it happen? Let us go back to my earlier statements. As I mentioned earlier, massive settlers’ expansionism constitutes Colonialism; look at the formation of Israel; it is a clear example of such a phenomenon. A new nation came into being, named “State of Israel.”

The time was right for this new nation to thrive and enter the group of the world’s decision-making force. The forbearers of the newly formed country were smart, dedicated, and intelligent. They had the sympathy and love of the world’s populace, who was becoming aware of the atrocities committed toward them by the Nazi regime.

However, millions of Palestinians displaced by this invasion were furious. The invaders throw them out of their homes, villages, and cities. They became masses without a country and had to live as refugees, at the mercy of foreign governments, and suffer humiliation. The United States and  Great Britain failed drastically to foresee those problems, and, most logically, as mentioned by Arthur James Balfour, the fromer British Prime Minister (1902), they did not care about the consequences of their action. And, therefore, had no solution. The animosities yielded to overt and covert wars and the creation of terroristic groups.

To the invaders, it did not matter who would be displaced: Moslems, Christians, and or followers of any other sects. The goal was to obtain the land. During one of our trips to the region, we made a side tour to Jordan and remained in Amman for a while. While there, our guide was a remarkable middle-aged woman from Palestine. She was a Greek Christian living among the Muslim Arabs. She and her family were thrown out of their home and forced to live in Jordan as a refugee, and their houses and belongings were confiscated and given to Israeli settlers. We met a Greek Christian lady physician working in Amman who was the Jordanian court’s pediatrician. She and her family lost their belongings in Jerusalem and were displaced to Amman. We found many families with similar destinies.

I am not disputing the fact of Israeli colonization of Palestine. My problem is the approval of such an act by the great powers, who supported the invasion and who showed a total lack of intelligence and complete disregard for the citizens of the area. I wish that someone could explain to me what is the difference between these people and those who run the Nazi Germany? Haven’t they created another holocaust? There are many such examples: During 1917-1919, the British caused the death of half of the Iranian population (eight to ten million) by creating artificial famine. If Hitler had won the war, I am sure none of these questions would ever come up. It reminds us of the words of the French philosopher of the seventeenth century, Jean de la Fontaine: “The reasons of the strongest is always the best.”

To the leaders of the so-called free world,  the Palestinians did not fit the definition of Human Beings. The United States is notorious for misjudging, miscalculating, and mishandling the world’s problems. I witnessed many such disasters. The one still fresh in my mind is the implementation of the land reform laws in Iran during the 1960s. The U.S. administration did not see the problems and was unaware that one cannot tear millennium-old social fiber and then try to patch them together with a band-aid. Unfortunately for all of us, the U.S. government is shallow in its thinking when confronted by significant problems, including those facing us internally, such as American Indian affairs or the Japanese Americans during WWII, and the African-American problems, which are other examples of the “doesn’t know how.”

Over the preceding several decades, the Israelis made and implemented plans to penetrate every branch of the U.S. government. In a word, they colonized the United States by buying the support of many members of our Congress: Senators, members of the House, and people in high positions who could help them fulfill their goals. The recent history reflects vividly that fact. It seems to me that anyone in the U.S. wishing to hold a public office must get approval from an Israeli organization, mainly the AIPAC. History shows that those refusing such a procedure seldom achieve their desired goal. I have alluded to these facts in my previous writings.

For this purpose, as mentioned earlier, numerous Israeli-American organizations were formed, seemingly to perform innocent deeds. Among these institutions are:

AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) is supposedly a non-political group. However, it is a highly influential institution in the political arena and is a bastillion of the Israeli hardliners. It seems that any Americans seeking public office should, in some way, obtain their approval. Just check the list of those who spoke at their meetings.

ZOA (Zionist Organization of America) is the furthest right-wing group and the oldest Israeli organization.

The J Street Organization supports the State of Israel; however, it is a left-wing organization and does not support Zionist ideology.

IF NOT NOW: Another left-wing organization that does not support Zionist ideology. The name comes from a Jewish-famous code of Hillel.[4]“If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? And if not now, when? Only for myself, what am I? If not now, when? Do not do to others what you would not have them do to you.” This group wants an end to the Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank.

Jewish Voice for Peace. (JVP): A left-wing activist organization. Its mission is: “ Jewish Voice opposes anti-Jewish, anti-Muslim, and anti-Arab bigotry and oppression. JVP seeks an end to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem; security and self-determination for Israelis and Palestinians; a just solution for Palestinian refugees based on principles established in international law; an end to violence against civilians; and peace and justice for all peoples of the Middle East.”

I am exceedingly sensitive to foreign government interference in the U.S. affairs. Maybe I have seen more than my share of the dangers of such interventions. As an Iranian proverb says: “A man with a history of snake bite is fearful of a piece of black or white rope in his path.” Or maybe, because I can never forget those immortal words of our first President, Mr. George Washington, in his farewell address of 1796, where he cautioned us with these sage words: “Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens), the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of the republican government.”

I am a firm believer that Israel’s influence over the U.S. is not, by any means, to the advantage of the Americans, and we should put an end to those kinds of schemes. We should punish the perpetrators by our laws. By any stretch of the imagination, this action does not mean we should abandon our allies; it simply reminds us that our duties to our country come first and above all.

To act and perform as a leader of the free world, the U.S. government must keep a continuous and vigilant view of what is going on around the world and support what is right. I long to see those days again when, as a kid, most people in my country of birth looked up to the United States as the protector of freedom, guardian of the rights of free man, and champion of liberty.

The recent problems with the presidents of three leading universities in the U.S. are a vivid example of what I have been trying to warn our fellow Americans. The resignation of  Liz Magill, the president of Pennsylvania University, for whatever reason, should not have been done under the pressure of the Israelis in the U.S. and their financial hold on the country, our elected officials, and dictating what we can or cannot do.

It is a disgrace and a disaster that our country became a colony of Israel and that the likes of Netanyahu are managing our political, financial, and educational systems. Suppose the presidents of the American universities were or are at fault for their thoughts and actions; in that case, the responsible parties in the country should decide on their future by our laws and not by a threat from some rich Israeli holding financial saber over all the systems that control our nation. And, or someone like Mr. Bill Ackman, who became a billionaire in the Hedge Fund business to create a fifth column and try to penalize whoever may have said anything about Israel. Our present situation made us the world’s laughingstock, ultimately costing us the loss of the meager respect that was left.

As a citizen who loves his country, I must ask my fellow Americans to consider what I explained and draw their conclusion. As an activist, I put forth the idea for re-evaluation of the functions of all Israeli organizations in our country and that these foreign institutions should be warned with severe penalties if they break our laws. I firmly believe that Congress should enact rules to remove any of our elected officials, partisan to the interest of a foreign nation. The interest in our national security should be the number one for all our officials.

I would never like to see another scene of Nikki Haley, or Mr. Chuck Schumer, or a similar politician speaking at any sessions of AIPAC or any other foreign organizations. I can never feel more shame that our ex-president, Mr. Donald Trump, advocating that if he gets back to the White House, he will initiate deportation of anyone who shows signs of anti-Israeli sentiment! Why not let the law take care of such incidents? We do not need another Hitler or Khomeini. WHAT A DISGRACE. I bow my head to someone like Mr. Bernie Sanders, who refused to speak at any Israeli institutions. I vote for people like him who chose patriotism over their gains. This I shall do, fully aware that I will be labeled immediately as a Socialist or an antisemite by those who don’t even know the meaning of the words.

Ms. Haley speaking at the IPAC session during

her tenure as the U.S. ambassador at the U.N.

If one looks at my words superficially, they may sound harsh to some Israelis or their friends; however, as I explained and wrote on numerous occasions, I have the utmost respect for theIsraelis for what they have achieved in all aspects of their lives. However, in my view, this will not give the State of Israel a special privilege nor give her any right to interfere in our country’s affairs. I am aware that there are many Israelis who disagree with their present government, and I sincerely wish and hope that most of those people will become a force to change the harmful.
